Hudson has long been a favorite among New Yorkers looking for a weekend getaway, thanks to an Amtrak train station and some of the best vintage and antique furniture stores, art galleries, and restaurants in all of upstate. Once an 18th century whaling center, Hudson’s history can be seen at every turn with Victorian townhouses, 19th century warehouses, and plenty of swoon worthy Mansions to pass by. Now home to the most vibrant and buzzing main street in the region, Hudson boasts world-famous antique stores, high-end restaurants, and a lively nightlife with an ever expanding list of specialty bars and venues. Wander from shop to shop on Warren Street, mosey down to the river to take in the views, or drive to one of the many special nearby towns including Germantown (a personal favorite).
