Remembering Our Farewell to Summer Party

Farewell to Summer Party at Spruceton Inn

The arrival of spring invites us to forget our winter state of hibernation and welcome the season of rain showers and fresh blooms. In honor of this change, we look to the past, remembering a very different type of seasonal shift, last September, at our Farewell to Summer Party.

With the Catskill Mountains as our backdrop, we gathered at the Spruceton Inn, a nine room bed and bar, to cherish the final days of summer leisure. Bread Alone supplied us with fresh bread and cheese, Kingston Wine Co. with local Hudson Valley cider, and Trop Pops with tropical fruit popsicles dipped in dark chocolate (a favorite of our younger guests). Between games of corn hole and horseshoe, we connected with new and old friends and by nightfall, had packed into the tiny Spruceton Inn bar, enjoying the present moment.
