Sunbeam Lodge
Sunbeam Lodge
Take a unique trip back to the 1970s at Sunbeam Lodge, a 1968-built ranch house tucked away on a quiet country road in a woodland paradise, just 10 minutes off the Taconic Parkway. Flooded with natural light and brimming with character, this 3-bed 2-bath getaway pays homage to its original construction with natural wood-beams and walls, old movie posters, cow-hide rugs, and velvet couches. The lodge is the ideal place for friends and family to disconnect from city life and reconnect with each other over good food and good times. Guests will feel completely at home cooking meals in the open chef’s kitchen, sneaking off to the music nook when inspiration hits, or kicking back outside at the cabana bar, but not before dipping into the saltwater pool, sauna, and hot tub. With 50 acres of secluded forest and grounds to explore, the requisite walk through the woods is a literal hop, skip, and jump away. So is the yoga studio and artist’s studio. End a perfect day by watching the sunset at the gazebo next to the private pond, or on colder nights, stargazing from the Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. Three sunny, airy bedrooms, each with a dreamy king or queen bed topped with down comforters will feel like the greatest place to crash after a long-drawn day of leisure. Conveniently located 20 minutes from Hudson’s Warren Street shops, restaurants, bars, and galleries, however, Sunbeam Lodge is a special find and likely where you'll want to be all weekend long.

Complete with thoughtful hygge accents, this rustic retreat is perfect for couples, friends and family looking for a place to gather, offering two plush bedrooms and two full baths, a well-stocked chef’s kitchen, basement game room to play pool and ping pong, outdoor grill and fireplace, multiple deck spaces and all the modern amenities needed to stay connected and entertained in the heart of the mountains. The house excels at embracing the outdoors with tranquil views of the mountains and wooded surroundings while natural light pours in through multiple windows, doors and skylights. Rise with the birds to sip morning coffee on the screened-in dining porch, or carry it to the moss-covered gazebo to convene more closely with nature. Grill and dine outside to your heart’s content, and when the stars come out, move the conversation over to the fire pit. Given the close proximity to Kingston, Woodstock and Phoenicia, guests can easily experience some of the area’s most well known restaurants, attractions, and trailheads within 30 minutes of Olive Woods House, including some of our favorite spots like Silvia, Westwind Orchard, and the Ashokan Reservoir.
Welcome to Modern Accord Depot, a stylish escape set in a historic 1902 train depot that once served the legendary New York, Ontario & Western Railway. Just two hours from the city in the Hudson Valley hamlet of Accord, NY, this glamorous rental property is the train lover’s escape for friends and families looking for a change of scenery, or a refreshing creative retreat for artists of all disciplines. Owned by an Emmy Award-winning music director and a Broadway choreographer, the house was intentionally designed to accommodate creative groups and can sleep up to 10 comfortably. Choose between the solo room with the King size platform bed with built-in cubbies and a skylight, or the one-of-a-kind bunk room reminiscent of a sleeping car, complete with privacy curtains, individualized lighting, and charging outlets. A stylish kitchen with all the Smeg appliances you could wish for will inspire the vacation cook, and a bespoke table for 12 is the perfect place to show off the meal. The ticket to thoroughly enjoying the house though is to do your own thing, be it lounging in one of the many sitting rooms, working up a sweat in the sun-filled studio, tickling the keys on the 1860’s grand piano, or enjoying fresh air on the patio. Wander the home and you’ll see that much survives from the depot’s early days, including a barn door made from salvaged boards with turn-of-the-century graffiti, the original ticket window and waiting room benches, and the former station agent’s desk repurposed as an entry bench. Adding to the nostalgia is a restored caboose parked out front on 100 feet of original track, filled with toys and books, a photo booth, mini fridge/freezer, and sleeping quarters. At Modern Accord Depot, get ready for an experience you won’t find anywhere else.
Set along a mountain stream in Eldred, New York, Little River is an environmentally-friendly log cabin offering exceptional comfort in an unusually private and rustic setting. Boasting two bedrooms and a lofted area with a connected catwalk, the 1,100 square-foot cabin is a natural retreat to recharge the batteries, perfect for up to six guests who are looking to mellow out or work uninterruptedly for a little while. Step back in time for a true Catskills experience that mixes the charm of yesteryear with vintage Danish, Mexican and American mid-century furniture pieces, lighting and natural textiles with today's modern amenities like a streaming-ready TV room, fully-equipped kitchen with induction stove and dishwasher, geothermal central heat and AC, and lightning-fast internet speeds. There are two beds in total, one queen size and one king, both with Casper mattresses and the promise of a sound sleep as well as a pull out sofa in the loft. At Little River, meditative moments will abound, from watching the wildlife roam from the front porch, to snuggling up with a good book by the wood-burning fireplace, to sneaking away to the Parachute-stocked bathroom for a soak in the deep Waterworks tub. We suggest keeping the door and windows open for an amazing soundscape. When the weather is fine, hit up the Barryville Farmers Market for the best local food and produce, come back and cook with reckless abandon, then head creekside for a long table meal followed by a fun hang around the firepit.
