An Upstate Bed-and-Breakfast in the Calm of the Catskills
Breathe-Inn | 1739 Route 214 |

Plan your fall getaway to the Catskills with Camella Ehlke and Marlon Aitcheson, the married proprietors of Breathe-Inn, an 1866 refurbished Victorian farmhouse turned bed-and-breakfast, tucked away in the small town of Lanesville, just five miles up the mountain from Phoenicia.

“We wanted to raise our kids in the country while still maintaining an urban lifestyle,” says Camella, a Brooklyn-native, designer and founder of world renowned clothing brand Triple Five Soul. “It was very important to us that they have the freedom and space to explore and play in nature. We go on walks, they look for creatures, they even have fairy gardens…”

The couple’s inn is an oasis for the wearied traveler, a refuge for rejuvenation, where guests can enjoy access to a yoga studio, glass sunroom, fully-stocked movie room, swimming pool and sauna, wood-burning fireplace and dozens of nature trails. Comprised of seven uniquely designed bedrooms, you’ll wake up each morning to the fresh scent of sage under John Robshaw bedding and the aroma of a home-cooked breakfast being prepared by Marlon, a private gourmet chef who has worked with choice clients such as Russell Simmons and Annie Leibovitz.

“We offer clean, open space with not too much extra decor or fabrics,” says Camella. “Each room is very simple. We are proud of the fact that people always leave feeling relaxed, healthy, and inspired.”

“Our super tall swing hanging from the maple tree – the best part about Breathe Inn. The hammock is also a real treat under the canopy of the maples. The inn was originally called the Maple Tree Farm back in the 1960s.”
